1st January' 2017:

Welcome of 2017 & bye-bye 2016 program: On the occasion of New Year 2017, the Centre had organized an interactive program among its staff and the Curator of the Centre offered khada with New Year wishes in the form of New Year Gift to all the staff of the Centre.

Participated in Krishi Bagbani Mela, 2017 at Mela Ground, Kalimpong, organized by GTA

25th February' 2017:

Inauguration of Innovation hub by Shri Roshan Giri, Hon'ble executive Member, Department of Education, GTA and Shri. Anil Manekar, Director General National Council of Science Museum, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India along with important delegates. A science exhibition was organized by Kalimpong Science Centre for public display.

 

 

15th March' 2017:

Kalimpong Science Centre in collaboration with SKYWATCHING WORKSHOP and YAK & YETI TRAVELS AND EXPEDITION organized a workshop on astronomy. Mr. Satish Bardewa , Director of YAK & YETI TRAVELS AND EXPEDITION, Mr. Suman Dutta, Director of SKYWATCHING WORKSHOP and Mr. Kaushik De, a resource person from Kolkata share their knowledge and experience with the school children coming from St. Augustine's School, Kalimpong and Saptashree Gyanpeeth, Kalimpong.

23rd April' 2017:

Homeopathic Medical Camp & Public Health Awareness Program was organised with the support of team of Homeopathic Doctors from District Hospital, Kalimpong (Dr. S. K.Singh & Dr.Indira Singh) and Pedong BPHC Hospital (Dr. Ashish Kr. Jha).

 

8th May' 2017:

Interaction Dr. Sudarshan Tamang, Asst. Professor, Sikkim University with the members of Innovation Hub, Kalimpong Science Centre on Nano Technology.

 

11th-12th May' 2017 :

Kalimpong Science Centre along with Himalayan Scientific Society for Fundamental and Applied Research, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswa Vidyalaya and Krishi Sankskriti, Delhi successfully organized international Conference on CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN INTEGRATING CLIMATE- THE EMERGING AREA OF AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, BIODIVERSITY, FORESTRY, ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY, APPLIED SCIENCE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

 

11th November' 2017 :

Inauguration of semi dynamic Nuclear Model, developed by NPCIL, Govt. of India & during observation of World Diabetes Day' 2017 cum Childrens' Day' 2017.

 

 

17th December’ 2017 :

Observance of National Energy Conservation Day' 2017 in the presence of Dr. Anutosh Chakraborty and Dr. Mendal Moktan with the students of Kumudini Homes.

Mr. Nabin Rai of  Kumudini Homes H.S School was honoured during program for his highest score of marks in written quiz competition.

 

 

 

19th December’ 2017 :

Dr. Pushkar Ganesh Vaidya, Scientist, Head, Indian Astrobiology Research Centre delivered a lecture on the topic entitled " In Search of Aliens" in the Dept. of Zoology, Kalimpong College, organized by Kalimpong Science Centre in association with Kalimpong College.
